Sustainability & Impact

Sustainability is at the heart of every Community Gas Partners project. By capturing methane and producing renewable biomethane, our plants make a direct and measurable contribution to tackling climate change. Each project helps displace fossil fuels, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and provides storable renewable energy that supports the resilience of the UK gas grid.

Our projects also create value for farmers and landowners. Feedstock contracts provide predictable new income, while digestate produced by the process is returned to the land as a natural fertiliser. This not only reduces reliance on synthetic fertilisers, but also improves soil quality and long-term productivity.

The benefits extend beyond agriculture. AD plants create skilled jobs in engineering, operations, and logistics, supporting rural economies and contributing to local prosperity. Communities also benefit from cleaner waste management, reduced odours, and the potential for community support funds linked to our projects.

By integrating energy production, waste management, and agricultural support, Community Gas Partners delivers projects that are environmentally sustainable, economically resilient, and socially beneficial.
